Every evening after dinner, set out the things you will need for the morning. Lay out clothes, arrange breakfast items, place bags to take in next to the front door. Doing it the night before can shave huge amounts of time off your morning routine!

Bonus: this keeps you busy in the evenings when you might be prone to snacking! It's also fun to get the kids in on - my daughter loves choosing her outfit for the next day and laying it across a chair so she can dress herself in the morning.

  • I always used to do things in the morning ironing etc, things in bag but lately I have started doing things on a sunday ready for the week ahead and although I really struggle to do this- I am a great procastinator - it really does save time, and I find I'm more relaxed to face the day - by LOSINGLUCY
  • I have to do this, otherwise we would never get out of the house in the morning. On days I don't do everything the night before we tend to forget something. - by COMEUNDONE87
