I find that when I'm craving food or think that I'm hungry between meals, I make myself a cup of hot coffee (no sugar). The warm liquid takes away the cravings!

    This has been my strategy too, except I'll drink tea if it's after dinnertime. A splash of flavored coffee creamer in my evening tea makes a good replacement for a sugary dessert!

    And for some reason right after I eat dinner I want something sweet. Drinking coffee (no sugar) takes care of that. (Hmmm, that needs more analysis.)

    It does help although I use tea since I can only have one cup of coffee a day.
