People with diabetes are five times more likely to die from a cardiovascular event than those without diabetes, Some vegetables may protect and even reverse the damaging effects of diabetes on the heart, one good vegetable to eat is broccoli. Those little trees are good for you. Don't underestimate the nutritional power of broccoli. Truly a super food, this non-starchy vegetable has more vitamin C per 100 grams than an orange and is considered a good source of fiber. Add broccoli to your diet.

  • Brocolli is amazing and delicious. I buy a giant bag of frozen florettes from Costco and after 1:30 min in the microwave they pop out all fresh and yummy. I learned that many frozen veggies have more minerals and vitamins than fresh because they are frozen at their peak whereas fresh produce can spend alot of time in transportation and storage.
