It might sound a bit silly for a grown up to do but get yourself a piggy bank and use it to save your "found change". After a few weeks you will surprised at how much you have saved. Also put in the money you WERE going to spend on that candy bar or carmel frappachino and save it instead. Use that money for Christmas stocking stuffers, or vacation spending money. I am saving for a trip to Vegas in May and I have a seperate saving account just for that!

That is a good idea,I go to my credit union and can dump all the change into and then receive cash back or I can have deposited onto my checking card. I decide sometimes to put it into my savings account. I also have my checking account linked to my savings so if I have spent 12.25 it automatically rounds it up to 13.00 and .75 is going into my savings account.

My husband did this and ended up with over $500! He cashed it in, and put it away for our house insurance for next year. He's started over again and will probably end up with at least the same amount or more :)

I've been doing that for yrs. The money I've put in the change jar has paid for xmas many times, without me having to use a credit card.

I've had a piggy bank for years and years! It doesn't ever add up to enough for a vacation, but it has added up to bus fare, or laundry money! :)
