I don't always want to make good food choices or exercise so it helps have to have someone to share my day with...the good and the bad. Someone who knows my dreams and goals and celebrates all my successes with great joy. A cheerleader. My daughter is my cheerleader. She is always up for a walk or activity and encourages me to reach my goals. My grandsons are also fantastic cheerleaders and excited to walk to the park or go for a bike ride. Hip Hip Hooray for CHEERLEADERS!
I keep a sunhat and sunglasses in my car along with my walking sticks...I try to be prepared.
Personally for me to stay motivated after getting on the scale and being up a half a pound or pound is by telling my boyfriend. His reassurance that is most likely water weight (too much salt from supper the night before) or that my body is building muscle. I always feel so much better because he is my biggest supporter/cheerleader. So find someone that makes you feel amazing no matter what size to be your cheerleader.104
Forgive yourself for slip-ups and use that positive self-talk! Remind yourself of what's important about your goals and be your own best cheerleader (remember, cheerleaders don't lie down on the field and cry when their team is behind, they tell everyone to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!!)
