i make a list of recipes and then shop for all of the needed ingredients. then, when i "just don't know what to make tonight", i can quickly check my list and know that i have everything on hand. i also include the cookbook and page number on the list. it's easier to eat healthy when it's all right there in front of me!

I like to bake vegan. I just do! When you bake vegan and oil free, sometimes the top of goods can come out very dry looking! Here is a tip: Spray the top of your baked goods with olive oil cooking spray before you bake them. This will eliminate or reduce the dry top! Also, you can spray it afterward, which makes an even nicer presentation. Recipes which call for no eggs or oil benefit the most from this substitution. Like banana breads, and the like!
I have a recipe listed under vegan banana walnut muffins(reduced sugar) which uses this method, and the results are greatly improved! Try it in any eggless oil-free recipe. Keep keepin' the calories lower!
*buy a re-usable pump oil sprayer (like misto)! Use any oil you want & stop waste!
I made a big list of everything I cook that my family likes. I also made a list of side dishes. These lists are made up of recipes I know or can get my hands on easily. This way, when I am uninspired, I just look at my list and pop into the store on the way home. Also, when I come across a new recipe that is quick, easy and enjoyed by the whole family, it goes on the list.
