When I was gym shopping one gym offered me a free week to try it out- one offered two and one offered a free MONTH! Take advantage of these opportunities. Also- always negotiate a deal. I got 4 free months at my new gym.

Free Week Trial Passes, Free Day Passes, Free Workouts, Etc.
ALWAYS SAY YES to offers for "A free week" or "A free trial period" or "A free day pass" at a fitness center, gym or club!! Those offers are a fantastic chance to shake up your workout, freshen up your exercise routine and try different pieces of cardio or weight equipment you might not have known about. Even if you have to endure a sales pitch and have no intention to join that gym, it's a small price to pay for some otherwise FREE "zing" in your fitness routine!
Last year, when my gym membership ran out and I couldn't afford to renew it, I gathered up "Try us free for a week!" offers from at least 10 local fitness centers, and literally was able to work out at all different places around town for 2 months, for nothing! It was so fun -- and totally legal!
To save money while adding variety to your exercise program:
1. Borrow exercise videos from the library. 2. Trade videos with friends. 3. Check out flea markets for cheap videos. 4. Walk...........it's free. 5. Buy used videos. 6. Check out gyms in your area. Many offer free trial memberships.
