When I spend time on the computer - reading my email, doing my online banking, or checking in with SparkPeople - I always sit on my stability ball rather than use a desk chair. As I'm working, I'm usually bouncing a little or shifting from side to side or front to back, all the time working my core. This is an excellent way to sneak in exercise and make online time more productive. And....I feel a little less guilty about spending time on the computer! 43
I bought a BOSU at Costco. I leave it in our family room and if we find we are sitting too long watching TV in the evening I get up during commercials and do some exercises on the BOSU to work the core muscles.
When I am at my desk and on my computer I no longer use my chair....instead on the advise of my orthopedic surgeon.....I balance on my exercise ball.322 Actually good for working the core muscles without realizing it.
