Organizing The Kitchen Pantry

I do not have a lot of money to buy the clear vacuum seal containers for the pantry so in the meantime I am using ziplock bags for pastas after I open the box. It takes up less space and I can see the pasta.
I transfer cereals into gallon storage bags and put them back in the box. The cereal stays fresher longer this way.

Great idea. I've had problems with bugs and bags getting tipped over. I use the snack-size for treats. It never occurred to me to use the larger bags for pasta and cereals. emoticon

This also keeps the bugs and moths out. We had a problem when they were brought in a box of oatmeal. we had to put everything in plastic & vacuum the pantry so there was nothing for them to eat & they starved to death. (Of course, every time we saw one we swatted it also)
