This may sound strange, but I do a lot of self-talk to help me come to good decisions about my fitness. So lately I've found myself doing the same thing with my money. An example is that this morning, I wanted to justify going out to breakfast (a bad habit!), so I immediately challenged myself to think about the AMOUNT that it costs to go out versus the amount I would save if I cooked. I have the time, I have the food already here, and actually - I prefer my own cooking!
Plus, I also can assure that the way things are cooked and the ingredients are in line with what I'm trying to do to eat healthy. AND (a HUGE argument) my son is overweight and making this choice is a healthier choice for him and a better example. I'm staying in!
