LINEY223---> There are things out there called "Yak Traks". It is a metal mesh that goes over (under) your shoe "like a doctors slippers" and it helps your from slipping on the ice.
I hear they work great.

    Or to pick some alternative form of exercise - I've been swimming 20 lengths of the 18 m pool at the gym instead of risking slipping over in the ice/snow.
