I start my Christmas shopping early.... I always buy my paper and cards at the after Christmas sales., and also can pick up items like cookie tins, ornaments and candles really cheap. Then throughout the year I buy as I find articles on sale. I have 2 huge boxes of gifts and and a never ending supply of card of cards and paper right now. It is also a surprise to see what I have gotten throughout the year....It is fun and saves time and money..

I have done this since my kids were small and being a single Mother at the time I could afford to give them a great Christmas each year. Toys also went on clearence after the holidays and all the overstock items were marked down. Barbie's and all thier stuff, Lego's and such never went out of style. Plus I always had their Birthday gifts! All I had to do was go down in one of my boxes!

I used to wrap my gift with newspaper as its just getting thrown out anyways but other people don't like that.......

Christmas Shopping
I'm almost finished with my Christmas shopping. I shop throughout the year that way I don't feel the pinch of shopping all at one time.224
Every year before the holidays I cash in my jar(s) of change. Anything that ends up in the couch cushions, car cup holder or washing machine goes in a jar until its time to go Christmas shopping. I usually save over $100 with this method that has become a tradition.
Throughout the year I collect all my change in one jar. A couple days before Christmas I bring it in to the bank to convert it to dollars. I use whatever money collected to shop the day after Christmas. This helps me get a jump start on the next year's shopping.
