Skechers Shape-Ups

I don't know about the toning claims, I just know these are really comfortable shoes to wear every where. I got the maryjane style and wear them everywhere I can!

  • DANGER!!!! Please be careful with these shoes.I had them and loved them. Then, after awhile, they hyper-extended my knees. I was in great pain for a long while. When I saw my doctor about it, he said that my problem was very common for these shoes and that I should never wear them. I could have permanently damaged my knees. Please research these before wearing them. emoticon - by SUSI_SINGS
I have a pair and love them. Feel great on the feet and legs and I notice my calves are tightening up. Hopefully the backs of my legs will tighten up before shorts weather. - by LVANCUREN
  • I bought a pair and wear them everywhere, even on the treadmill, my calves get the best workout they have ever had, my only problem is that my left foot slides to the left in the back, because I broke my ankle and I need to keep them tied very tight because of that. - by NO_SNOW_BODY
  • I've been thinking about getting them. You all have convinced me to go ahead an get them! I'll blog how I liked them! emoticon emoticon - by MEHOPEFUL2
  • I got the work out shoes for Christmas, they are the best for walking, and you get more out of you walk, today I got the tone up sandles. They have lots of styles, I love them already. Next I would like a pair of Mary Janes. I

They have shoes for men, do they have the sandles of Men?

  • I love mine too. They energize me to keep on going, and solve all the discomfort problems & bottom-of-the-foot pain I got with other shoes. Only problem I had was - I got the maryjanes so they'd pass at work, and the design cuts right across the bony part of the upper foot...but your foot gets accustomed to it. I've had them over a year & now see greater definition in my calves, & thinner ankles!! (Ankles were my biggest sore spot all my life). - by ZELDAPLIFF

I have a pair it takes awhile to get used to them. - by RESA13
  • I noticed NIKE has something like this now - anyone try them? They are half the cost, man made instead of leather uppers and the inside is made from a different material, just the same concept... - by LLCURTS
  • Love them!!! I have a bad back and my pain has decreased and I have a very wide foot also the only shoe I have had that are comfortable on my feet. - by DEVON378
  • I have a pair too and I really like them. I walked all around downtown Cologne, Germany in my Shape-Ups today! I think if you're already fit, they won't offer you much of a difference in toning up. However, they are comfortable and more stylish than MTBs, for example (though MTBs are supposed to be much better). Shape-Ups force you to walk with proper posture and exercise different muscles in your legs than regular shoes. - by JULIEC1971
I don't know how useful these are for shaping up - but - if you have a high arch, they are good for situations where you have to be on your feet for long periods of time. Your weight is supported by the arch instead of the heel - by CLIXFF
