If It Is Going To Be A Treat, Make It A Real Treat

I have stopped bringing "treats" into the house. Why? I eat them. And they never seem like a treat when I have several pieces or eat it in secret. Now if I am going to indulge I make it a real treat and invite a friend or loved one for "coffee and a treat" out somewhere. Usually we end up sharing it which is even better for me and sometimes we incorporate a walk! Maybe it costs more than buying a whole dessert but it "costs" me less in calories I would have consumed and is less frequent.
MORE INFORMATION: I don't say I can't have treats, just not in the house.

I am a big believer in not "dieting" anymore. I am making a life change and in life I like ice cream or bacon or going out to eat with my hubby on date night. In the past I'd have for gone those things in the name of a "diet" which wouldn't last long...Now I am more apt to allow myself a treat now

and again when I want one.... I opt for low fat ice cream out of the house (so there isn't a half gallon in my fridge) or eat a serving of that candy... as long as it fits in my calorie count for the day. I don't feel like i am losing out and still losing weight!
I have stayed on track and positive when I help others. Getting on the Teams and commenting to the posts help me see how I am doing. I remember that when I am doing poorly, I don't treat others the way I treat myself and then I get going again.
