I went from eating a lot of deep fried food to a healthy diet and no deep fried foods. My main success is counting calories. I limited myself to a 1200 calorie intake a day for 30 days. I made sure I took vitamins and supplements. I felt a lot better in 10 days after I started.

I lost 16 lbs in 30 days. I eat oatmeal, honeynut cheerios, post almond, eggbeaters, eggs, turkey bacon, 20 calorie ham slices, 35 calorie bread, bananas, peaches for breakgfast. A lot of salads for lunch. Nothing but healthy dinner meals with fish, chicken, or very lean redmeats and lots of veggie

I've found that to keep my body from adjusting to my calorie intake when I'm dieting that I have to mix things up.

So, if I stay on track with my calories and exercise Sunday through Friday I give myself a bit of a break on Saturday. The next week I will choose a different day. I'll add more exercise or I'll have a treat. Staying away from a routine is best for me.
