For every pound I lose I put five $1 bills in a large shoe box. The more I lose, the bigger my pile gets and the more motivated I feel. Once I reach my weight goal, I plan to go on a shopping spree for a new (and hard-earned) wardrobe!!!

I love this idea. I am working on my goals again. Been really off track and was searching the website for motivating comments. I love this one mainly because I love to shop...
Thanks so much emoticon

Ladies I think you may have mis-read: I said FIVE $1 Bills (Five singles = $5) per pound loss. I have a total of 140 lbs to lose. At $5 per pound, I'll have $700 for my shopping spree by the time I'm done! :D You can set your own rates - what I shared was the idea and MY own plan.

I agree with Diane. You seriously earned those pounds lost, so reward yourself accordingly! How about $10 per pound? $20? You deserve it (and it's still a lot less than minimum wage!) I think I could buy a single sock with this week's loss!

I agree with Diane. You seriously earned those pounds lost, so reward yourself accordingly! I'm going to start right now with $5. I think I could buy a single sock with this week's loss!

I like the idea but I think you are selling yourself short. $1 per lb won't get you too much of a new wardrobe at the end. I think the more you lose, the more expensive a pound should get - the first 10 lbs @ $1, the next 10 @ $2, and so on - because as you progress in your weight loss, the harder it is to drop a pound... so I've read from all the blogs. I'll start today. Thanks for sharing. Diane : )
