I'm not feeling well, didn't sleep well, I'm sooo exhausted & I didn't pass my practical exam. I could feel like a failure, but I'm not! I've lost 30 lbs this summer & that is success!!! Instead of crying into a bowl of ice cream, I'm going to choose good & healthy foods to help rebuild my immune system so that I can be feeling better ASAP. I just took the dog out & though I wasn't quite dressed for as cold as it is out there, the fresh air has refreshed my soul! On we go!

I've noticed 3 types of hunger on my weight loss journey: Physical Hunger, in which my body needs food; Mouth Hunger, in which I have a taste for something, but my body doesn't need the fuel; and Psychological Hunger, in which my emotions or condition at the time (and not my body) hunger to eat. My secret is simple: only feed the physical hunger.
What helps me stay on track? Analyze what caused the non-physical hunger types and and deal with the issues. Tired? Sleep. Stressed? Breathe. Bored? Do something! And so on. 306
While using the friend feed to see what my Spark friends are up to, I keep an extra window open showing all my friends. Then I can easily link to their individual Spark pages to comment, give goodies, read and comment on their blogs, and send them sparkmail without having to leave the friend feed.
This saves me the time and trouble of having to reopen the friend feed and navigate through the pages to continue reading the feed.
Knitting - A Distraction From My Emotions And Eating
My emotions and thoughts sometimes get out of control and I turn to food to lessen the emotion. When I knit, I find that the racing thoughts and emotions lessen because it is distracting me from what is bothering me busy hand. Also, I use knitting as a distraction when I watch TV or DVDs. If I am knitting, my hands are busy which prevents me from eating.
