Well if it isn't the most simple thing that really hits home!! I've just finally come to realize that this weight loss journey isn't going to be easy...and nor should it be! Anything worth fighting and working hard for is worth it!!! :) Slow and steady one day at a time...took months to gain...and will take months to loose...but will be oh so gratifying and a feeling of accomplishiment in the end!! Keep on truckin!!!!

That is a great way to look at it.. I have got to get that mindset .. It is hard for me to be patient.. but I have begun to realize that what you said is the truth.. I did not get this way over night and it is not going to go away over night.. Thank you for your post.

Don't torture Yourself -Eat what you like.
Don't force down foods you don't like just because they are 'diet' foods. I was trying to force down a salad everyday. Then the lightbulb went on and I realized that I do not like raw vegetables. I stopped the daily torture and now eat my veggies cooked. My weight loss and attitude are better.
When it gets hard to get in all the water you should drink I go for either sparkling water with lemon or lime (other fruits would work as well) or Clear American (available at Wal-Mart), which is also a easy way to sneak in some vitamins as some of them contain vitamins and/or minerals that we need for health reasons.
