I am starting to wonder if are huge portion sizes has to do with our big plates? You can trick your mind into thinking you are getting more food than you really are by using a smaller plate. emoticon

    I agree with this one, too!

When I started watching my weight and started watching my portions - I immediately switched from the big dinner plate to the medium sized one. I fill this one up - and it works - I feel full and rarely go back for seconds. If I used a bigger plate, I'd probably fill that one as well and eat everything. I blame this mentality on my parents making me clean my plate off as a child.

    Yes, i believe , using smaller plate reduces chance of over eating.
