For me, I've found that the phrase "easy does it" applies to weight loss.
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Go very very slowly and know that everything you do is better than what you used to do. Continually push yourself (lightly!) to be a little bit healthier here and there.
I switched from regular mayo to light Miracle whip with a fraction of the calories and I can't taste the difference.
Switch out a soda with the diet version when possible.
Lower calorie bread tastes just as good! Try Nature's Own, they have a white bread thats low in cals and tastes just as good.
