With Thanksgiving the start of the "Holidays", here is what I am doing. For the celebration meals I get to eat every item that I really love. However, each portion is smaller than I used to take. I take longer to eat, savoring each mouthful, and there are no seconds (unless it is vegetables). But everything gets logged in the food tracker. And exercise is an absolute must. This way I am participating fully and not feeling deprived. Enjoy today!

To limit holiday eating, wear tight pants (preferably jeans). You look thinner so people comment on that, reminding you why you shouldn't eat much. Your stomach doesn't have as much space to expand, so you don't eat too much. And the snug fit reminds you why you aren't eating as much. Simple!
When cooking for extended family, take the time to calculate what you need so you don't end up with lots of extra fattening ingredients on hand you don't need.
Be sure to send leftovers that don't fit into your program home with people who appreciate them.
A bite or two of green bean casserole along with fresh green beans and a bite of yam casserole on a baked sweet potato satisfies, but fills you up with the healthy stuff.
