Eating The Fruits Of The Woods

Do you know anyone who hunts? WIld game meats are more nutritious than store-bought counterparts. Hunters are usually happy to share their harvest. Offering to cook the meat and return a portion of the food is a great way to keep your freezer stocked with meat. Don't be afraid of the "gamey" taste: a soak in milk for a day usually pulls all the "strange" flavor from the meat.

My husband hunts and keeps our freezer stocked for the year. Ducks, Geese, Pheasant, Venison...if prepared and cooked properly are delicious. We also raise our own pork and lamb...rewarding experience and you KNOW what you've fed the livestock...so you KNOW what your eating as well. emoticon
