Whenever possible during the day, try to eat with soft light and soothing, relaxing music on a low volume in the background. The music especially helps to calm me, slow me down, which in turns helps to chew more, feel full sooner, and finally to eat less. I have also found instrumental music seems to calm and relax me most.
I usually have it on in the living while I am eating in the dining room. Try it, you just may find it helps you, too!

  • A teacher of mine once told me that she read a study that if you have classical or relaxing type music on in the back ground it helps retain what you have learned and also some how fuels your brain to want to learn more.
I really hated this woman and I believed her. Plus she had the article to prove it so she always had some sort of music on in the background of her classroom. - by JAMIEJOYNER
  • Wow! Just think Jamie, you've had this info about a study for awhile and I've had to learn it on my own this past year. And by accident at that!! Thank you for sharing your info with me. At least I know I've been on the right track! - by EVWINGS
