Don'T Trade What You Want Most For What You Want At The Moment.

This secret is based on a quote I found a while back that says, "Don't trade for what you want most for what you want at the moment." I can't remember where I saw it or who it came from, but it has stuck with me. This can apply to food, exercise or anything that might hamper your long term goal for a short term satisfaction.
For example... while grocery shopping I have CRAVED junk... but I said to myself. "I do not want to trade my fit/healthy body that I will have someday, for that chocolate eclair that I want right now." When applied... it really does work.

If there is something you are wanting and you have a chance try to trade something you no longer need for it or barter your services for someone else's service. When we owned an appliance store, we would trade a service call for something another owner might have that we wanted. It was a win-win for both of us.
When I moved, I had a ton of books that I really didn't need anymore, but still wanted new ones. I found a site- swap.com, where I can list the books I have and the books I want and it sets up a trade between members. All you do is pay for shipping. I like it a lot. I've gotten some things I really wanted, while getting rid of some books I no onger had interest in.
