When you go down shopping aisles, remember that purchased junk and unhealthy foods, will be sitting at home calling your name when you are trying to stay away from extra calories. Ask the question of affordability? Can this_____be in my cupboard without me having it? If you cannot say no, then you cannot afford to purchase it and it needs to stay at the store. Even if you are getting it for someone else!

Fantastic! I am going to remember this the next time I am reaching out to pick up the bag of chips "I buy for my husband" (but which is usually eaten by me!) - by MOM2OCEAN

  • Thank you for sharing this. I know that is totally true for me. If it is in my house I will definitely not be able to control my eating of it! - by BARBIE176
  • I just started thinking this way when grocery shopping recently. I blame my Mom for always using coupons, plus I'm Polish. It's taking some getting used to, but I know if it's a healthy choice, I'll spend a little more because it's better for me in the long run. Plus maybe I'll eat less if I have really healthy food, instead of all those empty calories from chips and soda and garbage. - by STRRRETCH23
