Make it last a long time! Really. Get out that freezerware. Go ahead eat and enjoy then freeze portion sizes for days, weeks later. One day won't break your healthy life choices but all those leftovers can haunt you. Freeze, portion control. Then repeat at Christmas. Enjoy your Holiday Everyone!

This has always helped me, especially since my birthday is around the same time which means a lot of celebrating around that time. The motto is everything in consideration, so divide and conquer - literally killing two birds with one stone!

I love turkey. I freeze it in 4oz portions and it is ready for lunch. I also freeze sweet potatoes for later also. Who need TV dinners.

Do everything you need to do ahead of time for Thanksgiving on Tuesday because Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) is a great time for holiday shopping. The stores are almost empty, the kids don't have to do homework for the next day, and many places already have their Black Friday prices marked. (And some stores will give you the difference if the price goes down within a certain amount of time.) I used to take my nieces shopping on that day. I'd pick them up after school. (continued)

I would give them money to buy what they wanted for themselves. Then I'd wrap those items for Christmas. I'd help them choose gifts for their parents, their grandmother, etc. They'd help me pick my gifts for their parents. And we'd go out to dinner. It was always a fun night for me.
