What To Do With Old Books

This Sparked Me!

Are you a reader? Just have to pick up a paperback every now and then when your favorite author has a new book and it's not at the Library?

Do You have a box of read books and don't know what to do with them?
Donate them to a Veterans hospital or other hospital in your area.
Many patients don't have the resources to buy books, but love to read. By donating books (usually through the hospital's Volunteers), you will be adding a Spark to countless numbers of people. It may Spark your day, too

I also donate my used books to the local library system. They have an annual book sale (books generally cost $0.50 - 1.00) and it helps the library buy more books to keep their inventory current.

There are lots of reading programs too that would love your books. Any hardcovers you have you can turn into purses. I saw this at a craft fair this weekend.

Glad you thought to mention this idea for getting books reused. We have been doing that (bring ti the VA hospital by us) for a while now. They are aways happy to get them too.
