In the evenings after dinner I like to do a craft to keep my hands busy. Right now I'm crocheting an afghan for my husband for Christmas. I find that if I'm just sitting there while the TV is on - trying to get interested in whatever hubby might be watching, I get bored and gravitate towards the pantry, even if I'm not hungry. When I focus on something else, the pantry doesn't enter my mind.

Finding ways to keep busy to keep from snacking. I keep myself busy by reading to my kids, cleaning, finding a movie. While doing any of those I keep myself from going into the kitchen. I find if I keep busy I keep boredom at bay and less apt to snack then.
