Freeze your meats in marinades! I buy meat in bulk, cut off the excess fat and pre chop it then I mix up my marinades myself (so that I can use less fatening items and healthier ingredients) lable the freezer bag with whatever you are mixing up then throw it in the freezer and forget it until you need it- this saves me a huge amount of time- all I have to do is pull the bag of meat out of the freezer the night before and I have flavorful ready to cook meats the next evening
I really love this because I can buy meats when they are on sale and the meat has a huge amount of flavor!!
I LOVE ranch dressing, but its one of the worst calorie & fat offenders. Many years ago I discovered the perfect alternative. Its from Trader Joe's & its called Buttermilk Ranch Dressing, you can find it in their refrigerated section next to the salads. I believe 2tbsp is 30 cals!
Its a little bit thinner than your typical ranch dressing, but the taste is out of this world!! Its got a nice subtle peppery taste and that creamy goodness you are use to tasting with ranch. Please give it a try! Its great as a dip, marinade, or as binder when breading!
