I have spent my entire life not being good enough, telling myself how fat and ugly I am... It is amazing how great you can feel just by stopping the negativity. Then if you add self love...... well, nothing is impossible. Tell yourself what a great person you are, how great you look today. Take a moment everyday to appreciate the growth your making with your positive motivation. We are all worthy.

When tempted to indulge in something I know I'll regret, I smile and say "no" as if my self-destructive alter-ego is the one tempting me and I'm wise to her. Then I smile because I'm talking to myself. Crazy (getting healthy) chick!
I'm a MAJOR fidgeter with self-destructive habits -- hair-twirling, nail-biting, cuticle-shredding, etcetera (attractive, I know!). I also love houseplants, and have several that are big and frondy and need leaf-cleanup, trimming, stuff like that. I reailzed that plant maintenance feels soothing in the same way that my bad habits do - but it's much more constructive! Now, when I get that restless, nail-biting feeling at home, I try to head for a houseplant and look for dead leaves!
Believe me, this hasn't helped me STOP biting my nails or anything like that, but it IS really calming to trim some dead or yellowed foliage for a few minutes every night. It helps if you have fast-growing plants with high leaf turnover, like an asparagus fern or angel's tears.
I used to give up for the entire week when I messed up at one meal or one snack, I used it as an excuse. This is very self destructive and I've learned to not do this anymore.
When you find yourself following this pattern, stop, and remember you are an imperfect person and you'll make mistakes. The trick is to get right back on track. Go to Spark and read all the motivational pages you can, it helps me a lot. Also getting your sparkpoints is very helpful. Take care !
