Getting to where you want to start to exercise is half the battle. Say to yourself, I'll only do 10 minutes. Then, another 10 minutes if you're doing good after the first 10 minutes, and so on. Before you know it, your time limit is met and sometimes exceeded.

That's exactly what I had to do, since my pattern was so sporadic: one day I'd do something for two hours, then I'd go a week w/o doing anything, so that got me into a routine that until my surgery in July, lasted for over two years, where I almost NEVER did only 10 minutes, unless I was really feeling under the weather.
