I started buying the Quaker Instant Oatmeal Flavor Variety Pack months ago, and I'm still amazed at how much it fills me up! I usually prepare two packets at a time with water and a tsp of vanilla extract. It comes in three flavors: Apple & Cinnamon, Maple & Brown Sugar and Cinnamon & Spice. With 170 calories at the most, 1 packet will make a great snack between meals, but two packets (340 calories max) with a piece of fruit is a great meal that will fend off hunger for at least three hours!

When I empty the flavored Quaker Instant oatmeal into a bowl, I see the sugar in lumps - I gently pick out the lumps and throw them. This way I reduce the sugar content in the oatmeal by 80% but it still tastes good and mildly sweet.
If you're trying to add oatmeal to your diet, you're probably eating instant oats. Quaker's Weight Loss has about the same calories as the Quaker's regular, but 3 more grams of protein and fiber, and 4 fewer carbs.
For even more protein, make it with skim milk instead of water. Yes, it adds 60 calories, but also adds 6 grams of protein.
Sometimes regular oatmeal can be really boring. I like to change it up a bit by using Quaker instant lower-sugar oatmeal and mixing it with crushed pineapple (with juice) instead of water. If you throw in a few nuts for protein, it tastes kind of like a pineapple crisp, but is a filling and healthy breakfast.
