I absolutely LOVED dipping my food in sauces-and when I started my weight loss regimen and was writing my food down, I realized just how much sauce I used, like barbecue, ranch dressing, sweet and sour sauce, and how it took very little of it before the calories would add up. To give my food the flavor I was looking for, I started experimenting with seasonings, and that has kept me from using dips with my food.

I'm a huge sauce fan too, but unfortunately most of them contain huge amounts of sodium and/or sugar (not to mention calories!), which wreak havoc on your nutrition and exercise efforts. Mrs. Dash is an excellent low sodium choice! Experiment with mixing different seasonings in a little bit of olive oil or coconut oil for a "healthy fat" option. Another little trick if you HAVE to have sauce, is to lightly dip every OTHER bite, and not dunk the whole bite but just dip the edge. Conscious eating makes a huge difference :-)

I like strong flavors, too, and now learning to use seasoning more often than dressing. it's working well for me :)

I really like the flavor of this tea -- it's good hot or cold, and is a great way for me to get some extra glasses of water in. It has a nice, strong, flavor -- a little bit tart, a little bit naturally sweet.
Sometimes I just put a bag in my bottle of cold water -- that's enough to flavor the water enough to help me drink it!
