I try to always use cash, but never spend coins. At the end of the day I put my coins in a jar. This is a fairly painless way to save a dollar a day.

  • I do the same thing. My husband knows that if I come across change and small bills in his pants, I do the laundry, that they are considered my tips. I don't touch it all year, unless its an emergency. I cashed in my change bucket the other day and had $195.27! I used it for Christmas gifts. - by LIDASTROUP
  • I do the same thing. And then once a year I use it for my main fishing/camping trip. It doesn't pay for everything always but it sure helps. And it's money I don't miss. - by SPARROW59
