Secrets of Success

Simplifying The Cooking Process

I use each weekend to cook a variety of healthy meat entrées (and/or casseroles) all at one time and then put them in portion-sized baggies in the freezer. Then it is easy to pop the entrée in the microwave and add a vegetable and salad for a healthy dinner. For the busy person, it reduces the stress of "What's for dinner tonight?" It is far more efficient to cook several entrées at once while the oven is hot and also allows my wife and I to choose different entrées if we wish.

  • I live alone. This is a great way for me to have a variety of meals on hand. Also, freezing the leftovers after I've had one portions means I don't have to eat the same dish over and over until it is gone! - by LISAGOULDIE
This is a good idea! Better than eating the same boring meal all week. - by JAZZYJAZZ86
  • I try to do this too. It can really be the difference to having a successful week. It leaves less room for improvisation and poor food choices. emoticon - by MS_YASHICA
