For those of us that have started our weightloss journey with extreme obesity issues it can be really difficult to get started with physical activity. Challenge yourself with a walk, maybe just a few blocks to start out and then add more or challenge yourself to finish in less time than the last time. Always remember that for every step you take you are one step closer to your goal. NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I have been so sedentary for the past two years that it is a real workout for me to walk to the end of the block and back. This is where I have started, I am trying to walk to the end of the block and back until I can do it comfortably, then I will increase my distance.

I agree! I was one with a major obesity problem. I lost over 120 lbs. and kept it off by just taking baby steps...and taking them one at a time. I couldn't down my driveway without turning red and panting...but eventually I was able to do more! Now...I just completed (every stinkin' mile) of the SGK's 3-Day for the cure, 60 mile event! But...it all started out with one little step at a time...

This song can push me when I am ready to stop or push me when I don't want to exercise. "Put One Foot in Front of the Other"
Put one foot in front of the other And soon you'll be walking cross the floor Put one foot in front of the other And soon you'll be walking out the door

The rest of the song can be googled. I like all the words to this one, but could not include them all, due to the space constraint. This is just a kid's song but the words have a lot of wisdom in them.
