Making life a game is what keeps me on track to accomplishing my goals. Setting up goals and then keeping track of how well you are doing can be hard sometimes in life, but if you set it up as a game and give yourself something to "win" may help keep you motivated.
Set goals with friends and family. The more people you bring into the "game" the more you will hold yourself accountable. But also make sure to set yourself winning prizes, maybe something you wouldn't normally do for yourself!! Start the " game " now and have fun :^)
I made a weightloss game board. It tracks my pounds lost and has random reward squares on it. It also has my BMI at certain wts motivational quotes food for thought and challenges plus I made my own little character to move across the board. my grand prize? A secret trip my husband is planning and a long wanted tattoo.
I used microsoft excel to make it. Just color in the cells you want to use if you want to see mine I can email it to you or I think I can post it as a pic too.
I've always been a gamer however being a gamer means sitting on your butt for extended amounts of time & not exercising.
So, in order to play 4 hours of Xbox 360, I have to spend 2 hours exercising, at least 3 times a week. Of course, during the semester, 2 hours of exercise = 4-6 hours of study time. Funny how that works out!
I try to snack on fruit & healthier snacks during game time whether it's on a console or gaming on the PC.
