    I have been watching too much Dr. Oz and I decided it was time for me to find out my good/bad cholesterol levels so I went in to see my PCP. Everything came back great, except my Vitamin D levels were just a little under the cut off point, so I had to start taking Vitamin D. I had to go to Walgreen's to pick up another prescription and I inquired about Vitamin D deficiency. The pharmacist recommended Calcium +D. Usually your calcium is off as well when you have a Vitamin D deficiency. And like you, I also take a multivitamin (One a Day). I guess I need a little boost; going back in 3 months for bloodwork. I don't mind taking an extra pill or two as long as it prevents or stops further damage.

    Absolutely ... research shows Vit D can reduce breast cancer risk ... simple blood test, your physician can recommend maintenance dose of D.

    Throughout my life I have added a multivitamin and recently restarted. My Doctor suggested vitamin D for some issues I have, recently, and I am reading more and more benefits from it.
