    Did you know that you can make a buttermilk substitute for baking; use the amount of milk called for in the recipe and just add a tablespoon of vinegar to the milk, this curdles it - but is the same as buttermilk for the recipe - I think you would find that it's less calories as well. You could use 1% milk - it does the same thing.

    This brought back a childhood mother sometimes used buttermilk to make biscuits and they were so yummy!
