Try to incorporate a serving of fruit and/or veggies in every meal. It's really not that hard. Just add a half of cup of spinach to your sandwich at lunch, or munch on an apple after dinner for dessert. After about 5 days of doing this, it becomes natural.
I always carry an apple in my handbag when I go out for the day. If I end up eating out, I can eat it before I go into the restaurant. If I find myself gazing longingly at baked goods, I munch the apple and keep walking! No prep or serious planning required!
