What to do about those foods you love that don't fit in with the "plan"..... emoticon

MORE INFORMATION:
A sure set-up-to-fail technique for life is to deny yourself the indulgence of your favorite desserts, entrees, beverages, and the like. In the real world, people don't eat like this. We enjoy good food, good drink. Allow yourself to have small increments of pleasure from time to time.

OR, plan a small portion into your menu plan for the day. That's what I do with chocolate...and now I only eat REALLY GOOD chocolate..but in a small serving calculated into my day. You can do it..really!

Deb from New Zealand once commented brilliantly on mindless eating as follows: "But you should try to stop "saying no" to foods that aren't the healthiest. Instead try "not now" or "not today". "No" only leads to the mentality of forbidden foods, "treats" that you've denied yourself, and makes them much more appealing.

Using just "not now" allows for the possibility that sometimes, in any healthy diet, there is room for empty calorie foods, but right now, today, here and now, you're saying no. Just now. Not ever, just now."

I thought that was so helpful, don't you?
