Cereal Bags

Whenever I use up the last of a bag of dry cereal, I save the bag by folding it and putting it in the freezer. Then when I am re-packing quantity meats, the bags are right there. Freezing them kills any germs and keeps them handy. They are much better than cling-wrap for keeping the meat from having freezer burn and cheaper, too.

I use them for anything I would use wax apaer for - cooling cookies and rolls, rolling out pie dough. I think the cereal bags are better than wax paper. I just wash off with soapy water and hang to dry. - by COLLOMR
Good idea, but freezing them does not kill any germs, if any. - by CKAZAKOS1

  • Great. I remember years ago when IRONS didn't have a Teflon bottom, I used the cereal wax bag to run the IRON over so the IRON didn't "Stick" when I was ironing. LOL - by JIBBIE49
