I decided that I HAD to have some small reward for every pound I lost to get me started. I felt like some small reward early on would get me motivated for something larger, so I started downloading a song for every pound that I lost. 1 pound = $1 reward that is fat, sugar, and calorie FREE!
Reward yourself for even minor accomplishments. Every hour you work out, every one pound of weight loss, everyday you stay on track, just make sure most rewards are not centered on food.
Some of my rewards are going for a walk at my favorite park that is not really close by or watching a few episodes of my favorite tv show. I find that I get more done when TV becomes more of a reward than a regular past time.
I am rewarding myself for my weight loss. For every pound I lose I put $1 in a jar and when I get so much I am going to do something for me. Maybe buy a new outfit, schedule a spa day, manicure/pedicure, massage. Just something to spoil ME, and reward myself for a job well done!
