"Magic Cure" For Negative Thinking And Depression

When I start to have negative thoughts, it usually leads to feeling depressed - the best way to change those thoughts is to write 12 things on a Gratitude List - even if some of them seem trivial, like "I'm grateful I have soap," or tinged with negativity, like "only gained 20 lbs instead of 30," it still works like a magic cure! After all, a lot of people DON'T have soap or DID gain more than I did and it helps to put things into perspective. Maybe my life isn't so bad after all ;-)

    I have dsythemia and write a "Thank you for..." list (similiar to your Gratitude lists) helps me when I am starting to get down and blue. emoticon emoticon

    WHAT A GREAT IDEA THIS IS!!!!! I'm going to create one of these Gratitude Lists for myself - not that I am in need of it at the moment, but it will help me to remember this great idea!! THANK YOU!!
