Tame a wild barbecue - Toss a bit of salt on flames from food dripping in barbecue grills to reduce the flames & calm the smoke without cooling the coals (like water does). Your so smart. I didn't know that salt would do all that. I know you can kill slugs with salt.... we thought that was fun when we were kids. Mom didn't think it was so wonderful though.

i use salt to put on paper napkins so that the sweatty drink glasses don't stick to them. it works.

Cutting out salt will actually increase your chance of heart disease and fat retention and slower metabolism, among other things. I used to do no salt than did some research and now eat a lot of salt. (see additional note for women)
