Don't get worried about the parties and overeating. Here's a trick, when you get there first thing, you prepare to have fun. Next start getting water to fill you up. Select exactly only what you want. If people ask why you are not eating, tell them the truth, you don't want it now, select only what is healthy and what you would like to eat.

.. just do it NOW! Don´t wait for that Monday or "perfect" time after that specific party. Now is the time! Go out to the kitchen and clear out all bad foods right away and instead of sitting here right now, just put your trainers on and take a walk, no matter how short!
You´ve got to learn to eat wisely during parties and weekends anyway, so you might as well just learn right away!
Afraid of going to a party because you might over eat? Go ahead and go. This is how I view parties. They are an opportunity to see friends and family; NOT A TICKET TO EAT EVERYTHING IN SITE. I either eat before I go or when I get to the party I fill my plate with healthy items and nibble on them. So go and enjoy yourself.=)
