I save all my vegetable peels, cores and ends in a gallon size bag in the freezer. When it's full, I dump it all in my crockpot with some water and put it on low for 8 hours. I would have just thrown out all those scraps, but now I have my own healthy vegetable stock!
You can add meat bones and scraps if you want too.

I like to save money and my health on soups and stews that call for broth or stock. I usually half the amount of stock (for example, if it calls for 4 cups chicken stock, I use 2 cups), and use the remaining amounts in water. It doesn't effect the flavor, saves money, and its less sodium and calories!
Save money on your telephone bill and put money back into your own pocket!
Buy an external answering machine and save $60-120 a year. Skip the call waiting feature, they will call back! Use a long distance calling card for the cheapest rates; or use VOIP services like Skype to talk to loved ones over the internet for free (chat) or a low monthly rate (phone)
