When I was starting to take my health seriously, I wasn't really prepared to really monitor my portions and SEE just how much I was eating. So, I made sure that I had in the house an electronic food scale, measuring cups and measuring spoons. It was eye opening to see what portioned amounts really looked like vs. the mighty men plate sizes of food I had been eating. These simple & inexpensive gadgets can make the difference between success or failure. emoticon
