Other cultures have some unique health tips. I have learned a Chinese tip that I will call tapping. When you are feeling tired and down you tap your body and take deep breaths. I am amazed how good this feels to relieve my body and mind tension. It only takes a moment.
Make it a point to visit other people's pages and leave them notes of encouragement. Personally, I find it so uplifting to see that someone took a moment to drop by my page and give me some kind words - it goes a long way toward keeping me motivated!
Taking a moment at night to decide what my exercise for the following day will be helps me to stay on track. I am more likely to follow through when I have a definite plan in mind.
I enter my planned exercise in SparkPeople. I can change it later if my schedule demands more flexibility, but usually, I stick to my plan. Left to my own devices, exercise falls to the bottom of the priority list.
