I have a tendancy to not want to weigh myself . . I get frustrated if the number doesn't go down when I think it should go down So I have started taking my measurements. I weigh myself only once a month, and measure myself twice a month. The measurements change and it gives me a little confidence boost! I like seeing the measurements go down.

A real wake -up call for me was taking my measurements. I had my husband help me. So that I would get them right. WOW!! It was embarassing. It made me VERY aware of how big I REALLY WAS. When I need motivation. I think of the day We took my measurements.
I keep a callender that looks like a book to keep record of my acheivements. I break it down into beginning measurements, weekly measurements or monthly, beginning and weekly weight, type and amount of exercises done. In addition I list calories burned per dvd, steps taken, activity level, and meals eaten with calorie count. It is easier to see my progress handwritten vs. on a computer. Recordkeeping has kept me on track, motivated, accountable, and honest.
